The Sul (a knot created with many fine threads) of the traditional Korean Norigae has been utilized as an ornament, overwhelming the space with bold, long strands.
These strands draw a stroke throughout the space, transforming the background into a meaningful empty space. As time passes, traces are left within these empty spaces.
In Korea, it has long been a tradition to gift a Norigae as a wish for someone’s happiness.
In this spirit, we hope that, over time, the blissful traces you leave behind will coalesce to form a beautiful painting.
